Each of them will be awarded a commission:

- St. Frank van der Wal Fonds commission: Thanakarn Schofield
- International Masterclass Apeldoorn commission: Polina Korobkova
For our anniversary we present a concert series full of current music, the core business of the orkest de ereprijs.
For forty years the orkest de ereprijs has been the ensemble for new music in the east of the Netherlands, making it a unique, demonstrable and recognized place in the world of 'young, composed music'. The orchestra focuses on new work by living composers. Especially for our 40th birthday, a commission composition will be completed by Jan van de Putte, Wilbert Bulsink, Martijn Padding and Kate Moore, who will premiere during this series.
She will follow up Wim Boerman who will step back after 40 years.
The orchestra found a visionary composer/musician in Aspasia Nasopoulou with a strong musical heart. She wants to accelerate the efforts in talent development and go fast forward with new repertoire. The orchestra is impressed by her enthusiasm and ideas for the future!

The annual Young Composers Meeting is an initiative of Orkest De Ereprijs. We offer young professional composers the opportunity to compose a piece for the ensemble and thus develop their talents, thereby increasing their knowledge and building a network.
