The tension between H.I. and A.I. therefore requires 'serious' research. Partners Veenfabriek, Ereprijs and ECHO take up this challenge in the production Aldus sprak A.I. An orchestra with 14 players, 3 actors, many robots and A.I.. Together we want to rise above 'ourselves' on the way, and longing, for a better version of 'us', we go in search of who we are. Interacting with our own test version of A.I., we get to know 'her/him/them/it' and want to learn how to become a better version of ourselves. Maybe we can then teach A.I. something human!
RKST21 with Severin von Eckardstein and Sterre Konijn: Homage to jazz legend Art Tatum
During the annual Young Composers Meeting we give young professional composers a chance to compose for an ensemble and develop their talents, knowledge and professional network. The week is filled with rehearsals, lectures and individual coaching by senior composers. We would like to share with you which composers will accompany the young composers during the 29th Young Composers Meeting in 2023. Richard Ayres and Martijn Padding are once again part of the team, along with three new composers that will join the team: Wilbert Bulsink, Calliope Tsoupaki and Anna Veismane.
We would like to introduce all composers to you one by one.
As an encouragement, the following participants of the
28th Young Composers Meeting are awarded a financial scholarship for writing a new composition:
