Trombonist Beppie Schalken joined de ereprijs in 2016. She is always searching for the perfect balance between performing and teaching.

Beside her work for de ereprijs, she has cerated the successful children’s show ‘De Bremer Stadmuzikanten’. The show won the Junior Grachtenfestival Award 2017, was broadcast live on Radio 4, and ran a summer tour, reaching hundreds of children to teach them playfully about classical music. Beppie also plays in musical theatre productions.

Beppie is at least as successful as a teacher. Together with her students, school classes and projects like Mr. Pbone (www.mrpbone.nl) she gets everyone excited about music and culture.

Beppie received her Bachlor and combined Master (Trombone Performance and Pedagogy) with teachers Mark Boonstra, Nico Schippers, and Bart van Lier.
