#1: Personal Cultures
Just like with all of us, personal background is unavoidable for a composer. But how does it affect his or her work? De Ereprijs commissioned five composers to compose an answer to the question: “where did this come from?”. The pieces in this program embody their personal connection to a music culture. For three of the composers, this is strongly linked to their powerful career as instrumentalists. For all to their multi-talented.
