7th of June 2025 | Andriessen Festival 2025 | Museum Arnhem & Musis Arnhem

This edition features two major works by two iconic composers; in the evening program, De Ereprijs Xtra presents Rosa's Horses by Louis Andriessen in Clark Rundell's extended orchestral arrangement. During the late-night concert, virtually the complete piano works of Meredith Monk will be performed by the Di Gennaro-Monetti duo. The work was written between 1986 and 2014.
As in every edition of this festival, the very latest music will also be performed. Orkest De Ereprijs will proudly present with soprano Bernadeta Astari and tenor Georgi Sztojanov in the context of 80 years of Indonesian independence, the project The Tale of Two Continents: seven new compositions based on poetry by Sitor Situmorang, who would celebrate his 100th anniversary. In this special performance, Dutch poet Robin Block, who has family ties in Indonesia, and Indonesian cellist Emir Aditya, who lives in the Netherlands, interweave their contemporary performance with Sitor Situmorang's work.
In addition, Ereprijs Xtra (the union of Orkest De Ereprijs with Phion and Nationaal Jeugdorkest) will play the premiere of Wai Yau Shiu.
During the afternoon program, two great musicians play at two locations; Konstantyn Napolov at Museum Arnhem and Goska Isphording at Musis and perform works by Louis and the premiere of the new work by Hugo Morales.
Also featured are works by Jasna Velickovic, Alice Yeung, Christian Richter, Janco Verduin, Nicolas Martynciow, Septian Dwi Cahyo , Nursalim Yadi Anugerah, Wilson Leywantono, Hilmi Ridha Mahardhika, Yayi Wira Pamungkas, Irene Tanuwidjaja and Gavin Wiyanto.
