Hans Witteman - Clarinet

 

Hans Witteman studied with Piet Honingh at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and graduated in 1985 in Clarinet. His love for contemporary music, he expressed by producing music projects such as STORM, DRANG and STUDIO K. At the conservatoire, he was introduced to klezmer music and the Balinese gamelan.

Until 2015, Hans was a member of the ensemble GENDING. At this point, Hans plays mostly contemporary chamber music, for instance in the composers collective ‘W.O.R.M’ and Studio K. His foremost work field, however, he finds in orchestra de ereprijs.

Hans is also involved with R.O.M, Random Organised Manufacturals, producing useful utilities for the clarinet. He works at the Koorenhuis in The Hague, leading the NewKlezCollectif.
