Call for Young Composers!

The annual Young Composers Meeting is an initiative of orkest de ereprijs. We offer young professional composers the opportunity to compose a piece for the ensemble and thus develop their talents, thereby increasing their knowledge and building a network.

Looking ahead with Aspasia Nasopoulou

From January 2021 Aspasia Nasopoulou will take over from Wim Boerman as artistic leader of de ereprijs. We look ahead with her to the period from 2021.

The limitations of the moment will determine the shape of our upcoming concerts, but these rules do not prevent us from looking ahead with enthusiasm and an open mind. We want to strengthen the link between current music and current events in society: to show that new music is needed.

Goodbye message Wim Boerman

That was it. Just over 40 years and all with great pleasure. It is still a great pleasure, but a number of incidentals prompted the passing of the baton. With many thanks to all members and ex-members of de ereprijs, because without their constant energy and commitment it would never have been possible. Naturally, this also applies to the various board members, who have helped to lay and maintain the foundation for all activities. Not to forget in this context the various politicians, both locally and especially regionally and the associated authorities.

Livestream school concerts

In the coming weeks, students at ten secondary schools in the Netherlands and Germany will close the Ereprijs composition project with a concert, where all new compositions will be performed by Orkest De Ereprijs. Due to the corona measures, the concerts are not open to the public, but can be followed via a live stream.
