Sjors van der Mark

Guitarist Sjors van der Mark loves to push boundaries. Boundaries of himself, the music, and his instrument. This has developed into a love for contemporary music, where he can experiment with sound, technique, and musicality for both acoustic and electric guitar.

After his teenage years, the electric guitar disappeared from his daily life for a while due to his studies at the Tilburg Conservatory. When Sjors began focusing solely on contemporary music during his master's program there, the electric guitar also took on an increasingly important role. Sjors graduated with honors from his master's program, and the electric guitar has become his most frequently used instrument in various ensembles and projects, and of course... Orkest De Ereprijs.
