Closing Concert 28th International Young Composers Meeting
Fourteen young, professional composers will have the opportunity for a week to work on their own composition, rehearse with orchestra and singers, attend workshops and individual classes, and thus develop their talents.

At the end of this intensive week, their 13 works are performed by Orkest De Ereprijs under the direction of Gregory Charette before an audience. At times moving, at times terrible, each time a complete surprise and never a dull moment. Meet the composers of the future at their best! At the end of this fantastic concert, the exceptional talents who will be awarded a composition commission will be announced. This concert will also premiere Mourning Song, the new composition by the talented Patrick Hegarty, laureate of the Young Composers Meeting 2021. Hegarty wrote this work on commission, especially for Orkest De Ereprijs.
