25 February 2024, 16:00 | Opening Concert YCM | Stadhuis Apeldoorn
On February 25, 2024, the 30th Young Composers Meeting will kick off with an opening concert at the Stadhuis in Apeldoorn!
The annual Young Composers Meeting is an initiative of De Ereprijs. Thirteen young, professional composers will have the opportunity this year to work on their own composition to develop their talents, expand their knowledge and build their network.
During this week, the participants rehearse the pieces they have submitted. They are accompanied by experienced composers, attend lectures and individual lessons. This year they are Richard Ayres, Hans Koolmees, Calliope Tsoupaki and Ed Bennett. The intensive week will conclude with a concert on Friday, March 1. The four most promising participants, in the judgment of an independent jury of distinguished composers, will be encouraged with a paid composition commission.
The opening concert will feature De Ereprijs. Of course, you can also meet the participants in advance.
