Concert series Aardlek: urgent matters brings music of today to Amsterdam

Aardlek connects current themes with new, commissioned compositions written for De Ereprijs. Guests from various disciplines (including philosophy, design, literature, poetry science) share their ideas and questions with the audience and the featured composers in an informal setting. The concerts take place in Apeldoorn and Arnhem. Each series of concerts has a particular theme that will be worked into a composition by different composers from their own perspective. The composers come from different generations and have different cultural backgrounds. The theme for concert season 2023 is "Ietsism.

With music by Piet-Jan van Rossum, Seung-Won Oh, Andries van Rossem, Annija Zarina, Janco Verduin and Michael Smetanin.
