29th edition Young Composers Meeting | 26 February- 3 March | Apeldoorn
From February 26th until March 3rd the annual Young Composers Meeting will be held in Apeldoorn! Attend the opening concert in CODA (26 February) or the closing concert in GIGANT (3 March)
Young Composers Meeting is an intiative by Orkest De Ereprijs to give young professional composers under 30 a chance to compose for an ensemble and develop their talents, knowledge and professional network.
During this week, fifteen selected participants up until 30 years old, rehearse the pieces they have submitted. They are accompanied by experienced senior composers and attend lectures and individual lessons. The senior composers in the 29th edition are Martijn Padding, Richard Ayres, Calliope Tsoupaki, Wilbert Bulsink, Anna Veismane and singing coach Georgi SThe intensive week will be concluded with a concert. The most promising participants, in the opinion of an independent jury of leading composers, will be awarded a paid composition commission as an incentive. All compositions are performed by Orkest De Ereprijs and singers from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, led by Gregory Charette, during the Final Concert on Friday March 3, 2023 in the Gigant theater, Apeldoorn.
